Developments:
A 21-year-old South African I met yesterday is having troubles with his girlfriend, who doubts his love for her. This has happened before, and he successfully bought her off with an expensive bunch of flowers. This time, he can't decide whether to buy her chocolates or get her pregnant as a token of his love. When I suggested marriage, he said it would be too expensive. Interestingly, he works in a finance department.
